Old School Reasons - "27"

Having done some previous work for “Old School Reasons”, when they were ready to release their first single “27”, they contacted me to produce the cover art.

The single is about the infamous “Club 27” of which talented musicians including Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and most recently Amy Winehouse have become members. The cover features a silhouetted graveyard featuring two trees which form the number “27”. A guitarist looks on at the sun setting in the distance.

Bryony Theatrical - Site Banners

As part of their site redesign, Bryony Theatrical asked me to produce a set of costume section banners. I chose a Film theme for the 4 matching styles and added images of various stock costumes and each heading “Childrens”, “Couples”, “Mens” and “Womens”

In addition to this work, I also produced their wizard mascot which has been used on shop displays, social networking sites and of course Bryony’s own popular fancy dress webstore.

Brays Cottage - Piewayman Cartoon

To celebrate “British Pie Week”, I was asked by Bray’s Cottage to produce a cartoon featuring the nefarious vagabond, The Piewayman! The worried looking piggy is loosely based upon Bray’s Cottage’s own logo.

Imaginarium - Logo Illustration

Based upon requirements and brief from Imaginarium, I set about creating a logo for the Boutique Idea Generation Service company.

The client expressed an interest in using a Flying Fish in the logo and provided a sketch and information outlining the basis for the concept.

"The flying fish logo idea is because I like the idea that normal fish adapted to their environment and pushed the limits of what was possible to escape predators or cover a greater range. Evolution through innovation"

Jason Escape - Logo Illustration

The escape artist and intuitive Jason Escape asked me to produce a new logo for him.

As Jason's act includes him being tightly bound and suspended high above the ground. I chose a strong, bold text which I crushed tightly together to show the strength involved in escapeing such restriction. The letter "C" forms part of a Key which it shares with the letter "A" illustrating the use of locks. I then suspended the whole logo at an angle casting a long shadow below.

Joanna Sheen - Jam Jar and Kitchen Stamps

This set of Jam Jar stamps produced for Joanna Sheen's popular range of craft stamps aired on 23rd February 2012 on the Create and Craft shopping channel and is also available direct from Joanna Sheen's own online store and at selected outlets across the UK.

The punk rock band "Old School Reasons" required a logo illustration that could be used on posters, promotional material and album covers.

Members of the band already knew what they wanted included in the logo. I suggested a tattoo/crest type layout and produced the logo you see here.

Woody Decks - Logo Illustration

Woody Decks is a skateboard equipment retailer. The company required a logo and brand identity that conveyed the feel of "urban skateboarding".

I produced the logo in a single colour that could transfer well to a variety of uses.

Commission - Character Prints

A collection of commissioned characters for a client. The Panda (Civil Servent), Hedgehog (Telecomunications Manager) and Ladybug (Security) reflect the profession of each recipient. The baby was to celebrate a new arrival and is based on a younger characterization of the baby's father.
