Late in the evening of the 21st August 1955, a family were entertaining friends at their farmhouse in the small town of Kelly, Kentucky when during a trip outside to a pump to fetch water, one of the party witnessed strange lights in the sky. Soon after this sighting, odd noises were heard outside and which prompted two of the men to leave the farmhouse to investigate. They decribe witnessing Goblin type creatures of about 3.5ft tall with large ears and glowing yellow eyes who approached them with their hands held in the air. Terrified, the men used their guns and fired at the creatures which produced a metallic sound (described by the men as sounding like bullets being rattled around in a metal drum) and caused the creatures to recoil, only to get up again. The "Goblins" continued to "terrorize" the family well into the following morning.
